Thank you for being part of the Mohawk Alley Animal Hospital family! We know that the past few months have been extremely stressful. Please know that we are working hard to provide the best medical care for your pets. When you contact the hospital, we kindly ask for:

Patience: Please understand that we will continue to adjust our curbside protocol to maximize the safety and efficiency of your visits. We also strive to complete the considerable amount of email, phone and fax requests that we receive daily as quickly as possible.

Compassion: Our staff has been working extremely hard as essential workers during these unprecedented times, putting the safety and health of their patients above their own.

Respect: We are working extremely hard to meet the needs of our beloved patients and clients, and ask for mutual respect during all interactions. We will not tolerate any abuse to our staff of any sort.

Your kindness and your time are greatly appreciated during these challenging times. We promise we will do everything that we can to provide ease and comfort during your pet’s visit with us. We all have the same goal – making sure your pets receive the absolute best care.

As an essential business, our clinic is still open, but with updated hours of operation (Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm & Saturday & Sunday from 8am to 6pm). We are also using new protocols to maximize your safety, and the safety of our employees. Please see our latest COVID-19 Updates

COVID-19

To Our Beloved Mohawk Clients, 


We hope that you are sheltering safely during these times, and that soon we will all be able to visit with our loved ones again. We also wanted to thank you for your continued patronage to our hospital, which allows us to continue to remain open and also to provide a living to our amazing employees. That being said, due to the limitations placed to us by this devastating disease we will be amending our hospital hours for the near future. It will allow us to minimize the exposure of our staff while continuing to serve you in the best manner possible. 


Starting Monday, April 6th 2020 we will be open from Monday through Saturday from the hours of 8:00AM to 6:00PM. We will no longer be open on Sunday. We will continue our curbside drop off exam protocol until all stay-at-home restrictions are lifted. Please continue to call us to make an appointment prior to coming to the hospital as we are unable to accommodate walk-in appointments at this time. In addition to that, please give us 48 hours to fill your prescriptions or food orders, as supplies are limited at this time and we may have to make online order arrangements for you to fully complete your refills. We will do everything we can do make this streamlined and efficient for you, as we know that you would also like to minimize your exposure outside.

Notice to Our Clients Regarding COVID-19

We know that you have received many e-mails from the businesses that you are patrons of, and hope that you will forgive us for sending you yet another one. In Los Angeles County, a new order has been issued that will close non-essential businesses from 11:59PM on March 19th until April 19th, 2020. The hope is to flatten the curve and decrease the rate at which our neighbors have been contracting COVID-19. 


Mohawk Alley Animal Hospital has always been committed to the care and well being of your loved ones and this has not changed with this new order. Veterinary hospitals are considered an essential business and are able to remain open during these uncertain times. Our hospital is committed to remaining open at our normal business hours to provide full service veterinary care for your fur babies. 
In order to continue to remain open, we have changed our protocols in order to minimize social contact and maximize the safety of both our employees as well as you, our most valued clients. We have changed to a curbside exam protocol, with treatment room exams for all pets and electronic and phone communication rather than close contact. We understand that this does increase wait time for you; we ask for your patience and understanding at this time. We also ask that we schedule all wellness examinations for adult pets after mid-April, in order to allow our limited appointment slots to be filled with sick patients. 


If you are ill, or have been exposed to COVID-19 please let us know prior to your visit. If your pet needs to be seen we will help make arrangements for examination; either by telemedicine or helping find transport for your pet. Please understand that our ability to remain open for all of you rests on preventing our employees from being exposed to this new virus; like all other businesses, we are subject to a mandatory quarantine if the virus makes its way into the hospital.
